Not sure on the details but there was a Haz-Mat situation in Des Plaines, Iowa On Thursday that left two dead and five hospitalized. "...investigators found a car in the garage with its ignition on with a dead battery. In addition, an empty crock pot had burned away an unknown substance in the kitchen." This according to ABC-7. Don't yank on the cord

A full of hot things Crock Pot on the table is not the best thing to leave unattended. A one year old child in Jefferson County, Missouri sustained serious burns after pulling the cord of the Crock Pot and had its contents spill on him.
